As we anxiously await the church’s 60th Anniversary celebration on November 6th, we should raise our hearts and voices in thanks to God for the wondrous things He has done. He has permitted His Gospel of Grace in Christ to be preached from this pulpit to many longing hearts. He has caused many to be blessed with the ”washing of regeneration” in the Sacrament of Baptism from the fount in this church. He has served many His “Blessed food from Heaven” for the “Remission of sin” in the Sacrament of Holy Communion from this alter. He has given strength to many parents as they brought their children to be instructed in the Christian faith. He also rejoiced as many have gathered at this alter to publicly make confession of their faith in the Triune God and to confirm their covenant with Him; also confessing that His Holy Word is taught in its truth and purity, and their desire to become communicant members of this congregation.

It is with this thought, as we reminisce in the upcoming weeks and look back over sixty years of our Lord’s blessings that we lift up our hearts in praise and thanksgiving to our Triune God, to whose glory and service this congregation is dedicated.
We humbly pray that God will continue to guide and direct us in the years to come. That Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church will always offer a true haven for sin-laden souls who wish to cast their burden of sin at the foot of Calvary’s cross, and who wish to dedicate their lives to the service of our Savior, in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
